Improving Quality of Life Through Effective Intervention
Sherry Wong

Clinical Supervisor

Sherry’s introduction into the field of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) was an unorthodox route. Graduating from The University of Connecticut in art and illustration, Sherry stumbled upon an opportunity to design and illustrate graphics for a start-up company utilizing robotics for young children with special needs. In the following three years working with the robotics team and a team of therapists including a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in the school system, Sherry was intrigued by the growth exhibited with the children. Sherry then sought her graduate degree to expand her knowledge and skill set in ABA.

Since Sherry’s start in the field, she is surprised by how much the world actually utilizes ABA without knowing; i.e. improving upon one’s work ethics, having an environmental impact, self-management, education, and several other areas. Sherry loves that ABA is evidenced based and data driven and uses facts and objective measures to determine success.
