Improving Quality of Life Through Effective Intervention
Colleen DeMello

Making meaningful connections with others has always been important to Lori. Lori’s favorite quote by Edith Wharton is “There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it". Spreading the light by helping others and making meaningful connections is the foundation of Lori’s work with others.

Lori began her career as a Crisis and School Psychologist for Rockland BOCES. After being granted tenure, Lori took some time off to live in Europe (Switzerland and England) and raise her three daughters. Upon returning to the US, Lori was eager to work again and thus decided to expand her skill set by working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Based on Lori’s passion for the field, Lori returned to school to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

Lori currently provides ABA services in home, school, and community settings. She believes that success in the field of ABA isn’t defined only in big outcomes, but rather is a celebration of all the smaller steps that it took to get there.
