Improving Quality of Life Through Effective Intervention
Doreen Reis

Biography

Doreen began her career in Applied Behavior Analysis working with children, adolescents and parents in therapeutic foster care. Initially, Doreen’s responsibilities were that of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. However, in a short period of time Doreen developed a strong interest in Applied Behavior Analysis.

She attributes her interest and her pursuit of becoming a BCBA to her colleagues who practiced as BCBA's in the foster care program. Since obtaining her BCBA in 2012, Doreen has provided ABA consultation and Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention in schools, homes, and community settings.

Doreen's primary interests are working with parents and caregivers who she believes can be a child's best teacher and advocate. She also believes that the key to improving the lives of children and/or adults is to not only teach the individual but also teach those who are a regular part of that individual’s life. Seeing a parent lost for words upon their child gaining a skill that they never imagined they would have, is a true measurement of success.

Doreen lives with her husband and two daughters on the Cultural Coast of Florida. She describes herself as a humble, optimistic and active person. Doreen loves to travel and learn about other cultures. Her other interests include, skiing, dancing, camping, and boating.
